Hallelujah! Josh and I just had Christmas at our house with his parents, sister, and family friend. I must say that we were in for a wonderful surprise! After we were all finished opening our gifts Martine had some cards to distribute among us. But before I let you in on what was inside let's go back to May 29th, 2008.
That particular morning I received an email from Josh about a desire that was burning in his heart, something that seemed to be so off the road for us at the time but he knew had to be done. He said that he felt as though we were supposed to go away to bible school. The Tuesday before that Ps. Donna was preaching and mentioned something about knowing if the desires you have are from your head or your heart, well Josh told me that it was both. He didn't feel like this a year prior but he did at that moment and knew we were both called to go. The reason he mentioned "go away" to bible school was because most of the "better" ones are on the coast, like Texas and Florida.
Let's keep in mind we just bought our house May 16, 2008.. so two weeks in and he mentions moving away! lol We thought maybe in a year or two but obviously with the recent purchase of a new home and 2 days away from giving birth to Baby Z this was not the time to go away to school in beautiful, warm, sunny Florida....
So those thoughts are in our minds and the days go on. Well what do you know... 2 weeks later we are sitting in the pew at church and open our bulletin and listen to the announcements... coming to Life Christian Church... Life International Bible College starting this fall! Well there is a definite sign right in front of our face! We were in shock! (not to mention that I was a little upset about not moving to Florida now!)
A few months went on and we had a meeting regarding the costs of tuition and so forth.. well it seemed as though those of us who wanted to go were not able to pay for the cost up front and all needed either financial aid to help pay for school or payment plans in order to attend. So they decided to post-pone school until January and they dropped the amount of tuition dramatically so everyone could afford it and have time to save up.
So now it is December and tuition is due, well it was actually due Monday and I emailed the guy in charge asking about the tuition's final due date b/c we didn't have the full amount yet. Well I was surprised when I never received any reply when he is always quick to respond.
Here is the better surprise... the cards that Josh and I received were cute little Christmas cards and when we opened them simultaneously we read aloud ... first semester bible college PAID. What a wonderful gift and How Great is Our God?! The Lord has blessed them and now they have blessed us in return. What a great system of sewing and reaping! I am just so ecstatic right now I could cry! Now that everyone is gone and all I can hear is the sound of the wind blowing through the nearby trees, I can't help but think of all He has done. Thank you to the Gray's for being a blessing and obeying His word. Most of all thank you Lord, and Happy Birthday! I love you!
