So last year has passed, and 2010 has begun. I’ve been thinking about the past year of my life and must say I’m happy 2009 is over. Because every ending brings a new beginning and I am so happy to start the new year off right.
January of last year started with many new beginnings which included:
- I finally started a diet (7 months after I gave birth to Z) which was awesome! I didn’t have to count calories or starve myself. I was not allowed to have sugar and I just separated my proteins/fats from my carbs for each meal and the weight began to melt… so I lost around 15 pounds the first couple weeks and my confidence was coming back. I was fitting into old jeans and I felt a lot better about myself.
- We started bible college at Life. Full time students with our plates more than full already.
- We opened our gym, Jan 17th, which I thought meant more income… but ended up being loss of time with Josh and less income.
- We had a very unexpected surprise when I went to the doctor Jan 22nd for a check-up. I was 2 months past due on my cycle and after failed pregnancy tests at home I found out I was somehow 4 weeks pregnant. Z was not quite 8 months old at that time.
By the end of the year the results were:
- We no longer had a business partner at the gym, therefore Josh’s hours increased.
- We successfully completed the first year of bible college. (finally I’m a sophomore)
- I no longer had income of my own. So we have seen God do a huge work in our finances!
- We have 2 very handsome and healthy boys!
- I still had weight to lose due to the 2nd pregnancy.
- Josh is the new youth pastor at church!
- We noticed the toll time apart has taken on our marriage and decided to skip the first trimester of school in 2010 so we can focus on each other and help our marriage be all we want it to be.
So now that 2010 is here, I have started my diet, Josh is taking a week of vacation, we are more focused on our marriage and children, we have a marketing company coming this week to do a 6 week promotion to increase our business at the gym (more members = more money = more money to pay someone else to work = more time together!)
Although I’m a little sad to miss this first trimester of school, I know how important it is for us to not be there. We won’t be behind and will start back up in April! God has truly given me a lot of grace the past year and if it was not for Him I don’t even want to know where I could be right now. Thank you Lord for your mercy and forgiveness! May this year be wonderful and fruitful, may Your Glory be shown through us. Praise Your Holy Name!
