a novel idea.

well last week i was certifiably insane with needing to change something. i was just itching to get the rooms done for the boys but i don't have anything to put in z's new room yet so i did some pondering and then it hit me.... rearrange my own room!

so saturday i gave my bedroom a much needed make-over. with the help of z of course. i kept looking at my bedroom like something was wrong... and i was right. of all the people who have been to our house, nobody ever said, hey... your bed is backwards and your tv is in the wrong corner! thanks a lot friends! lol

so now when you walk into my bedroom you can actually see the bed with the headboard against the back wall and the tv in the corner where the cable outlet is (we obviously don't have cable or this would have been noticed long ago)

i took out our dvd rack because i felt like my bedroom was a stinking video store and moved it to the office and put the office bookshelf in our room instead... didn't know how it would look since bookshelves go in offices but it turned out very nice. and rather than having to put it in the basement it is in a much more convenient spot.

so now when i walk into my bedroom it kind of feels like a new house. that feeling you get when you just moved and everything is in it's perfect place. so i have to say the "itch" i had to get things done has been scratched a little and feels much better. and the bookshelf is now one less thing we have to drag downstairs.

now if could just get this same urgency and excited to start on all the closets i'll be good to go!

(oh and we hung a mirror in the bedroom... i'm just so pleased with the turnout... i'll have to take pictures and post this week) :)
